North Sound Designs (NSD) is a
small family business, located in
the Pacific Northwest.

Prior experience in construction, customer service, and graphic design, brings a blend of professional skill with hands-on craftsmanship.

We create detailed, durable, handcrafted items and custom pieces made from a variety of materials to suit everyday life.

EXPERIENCE

    Holding roles as an Operations Manager, Production Supervisor & Sales Service Supervisor - I have lead teams of various sizes, as well as Supervisors.

    All of which I was responsible for;

    • Continuous Improvement

  • 20+ years reviewing project documents and drawings to do take-offs, create bids and sell profitable work. Working closely with vendors, customers and other related disciplines to plan and execute - creating a successful project for all involved.

  • Degree & background in Graphic Design - from the Art Institute of Seattle. Spent 2+ years as a Graphic Artist for two companies - at which I learned screen printing, vinyl cut decals for small to large applications.

    Additionally 20+ years in miscellaneous design projects - from logo design and branding, furniture, decks, remodels and more.

  • Experienced in design, materials sourcing and construction of various projects - remodel, decks, fences, furniture & more.

SOFTWARE

  • 2D & 3D Experience in AutoCAD and similar programs since 2001.

    As well as experience with Fusion 360.

  • Active License.

    20+ Years using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Lightroom

    Familiar with: Premier, AfterEffects, InDesign & other Adobe products.

  • Active License.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, from data entry to some experience with macros, VBA and Power BI

  • Canva, Kittl, xTool Studio, vCarve Pro, Carveco

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT

  • I shoot RAW in manual, with professional cameras and lenses, experience in studio lighting, as well as natural light landscape, wildlife and action photography.

  • Tool paths, bit changes, material properties, …

  • Cutting and Engraving of various materials - from design to finished product.

  • Experience printing on vinyl, digital and screen - as well as cutting, weeding and applying vinyl.

    From wall/floor decals, automotive applications, business signage, …

  • Set-up and use of heat presses of various sizes for DTF applications.

  • Saws, drills, routers, you name it - I likely have it, and have been using it for years.
